LEGACY:
The daughter of Grace, famous Rhyhorn Racer. A child indubitably destined to follow in her mother's footsteps.
Over and over and over, Grace's admirers—abundant in their numbers—would enthuse about how the girl would carry on her mother's legacy. Even the legend herself pre-emptively deemed for this to be the best possible outcome. The girl's fate seemed concrete. And yet she rebelled. She'd no desire to become her mother's copy, let alone be known solely as "Grace's daughter".
As she grew older and developed a better sense of agency, she chose to forsake the earth in favour of the skies. Against her mother's will, she joined a Sky Trainer Academy. The decision brought more misfortune unto her.
Her teachers gave "Grace's daughter" special treatment; in turn, her classmates ostracised her. She hadn't had it any better at home, her rebellion sparking many an argument between parent and child. The odds were stacked against her, yet her resolve remained unyielding. She'd discovered her own path, and she intended to stick to it.
LOSS:
Fortunately, the girl had a group of friends outside of the academy. Friends she could rely on and confide in. They, too, provided her with the solace she very much so needed.
Each had their own dream—except for one. An incident with the paparazzi caused him to hide away in his room for years; attempts to persuade him to leave always ended in failure.
Yet the girl was unrelenting, paying him a visit each and every . day to try and coax him out. Though his unwillingness angered her, she was more infuriated by the adults' insensitivity. Not only had they decided her future, they'd also taken away her friend's.
The worst was yet to come. The shut-in finally left his room—because, along with the rest of Vaniville, it'd been destroyed in a battle between the governors of life and death, Xerneas and Yveltal.
After encountering ill-intentioned adults clad in cardinal amidst the destruction, the group of five were forced to flee their homes.
